How to convert zeros "0" into dash "-" automatically in MS Excel? (Step by Step Guide)

You might have came up with an issue in MS excel where you wanted to display dash instead of zeros but, now you don't have to manually enter dashes for every single cell.

You just have to follow these very easy steps, So that whenever you type or enter zero in a cell it becomes automatically converted into dash.

Step 1: Select the data range where you want to replace zeros with dashes.

Step 2: Now, Right click on the selected cells and select "Format Cells" option.

Step 3: In the "Format Cells" dialogue box, select "Custom" from the category list on the left

Step 4: In the "Type" box enter the following format code and click "OK"

Now, all the zeros will be converted into dashes

Now, if you enter zero in these cells it will automatically get converted into dash
